Abstract. In her article, the author recalls her tenure at the Embassy of Ukraine in Turkmenistan, describes her impressions from the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat, local architecture and customs, emphasises the forthcoming and respectful attitude to Ukraine at both daily and official levels, and reveals important aspects of cooperation in the economic and cultural-humanitarian fields.
